Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
ClearPath aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. It should work on a phone, with a keyboard and with a screen reader, and core content should work without JavaScript.
Standard
Target: WCAG 2.2 AA. We use real buttons, links and labelled inputs, visible focus rings, text for every status (never colour alone), a skip link, landmarks, and support for 200% zoom, reduced motion and forced-colours mode.
How we test
Automated checks (axe-core) on every page and key tool states, plus manual keyboard and screen-reader passes before launch. Status at this release: axe-core (WCAG 2.2 A and AA plus best practices) was run on every page and on key interactive states in light mode, and on the main pages in dark mode, with no remaining violations. Overflow was checked at 360, 768, 1024, 1280 and 1440 px. This pass also covered the quiz, learning paths, Beyond page, crosswalk, contact, guides and the Your path bar, with no violations. Manual keyboard and screen-reader passes by people have not been done yet, so treat the site as not yet fully audited.
Known limitations
- Tools need JavaScript. Without it each tool says so and the underlying content remains readable.
- PDF output comes from your browser's print dialog, so whether a PDF is tagged depends on your browser. DOCX (planned) is the recommended accessible format.
