About

About ClearPath AI Governance.

Your clear path through AI governance, region by region.

Reference only

ClearPath is a reference resource only. It does not give legal advice, does not certify compliance and does not create any professional or lawyer-client relationship.

For reference purposes only. This site offers general guidance for learning and planning; it is not legal advice and creates no lawyer-client relationship. Rules change often, so check the primary sources and qualified counsel before you act.

We never describe a result as "compliant", "approved", "certified" or "guaranteed". We use "screening result", "reference guidance" and "for review". Consult a qualified professional when a result is prohibited or high-risk, when you answer "Not sure" on a key question, when a system affects people's rights, or when a notification duty might apply.

Independence and editorial policy

  • No ads, sponsorship, affiliate links or vendor recommendations. Products are named only in fictional examples or when a law names them.
  • No email gates and no lead generation. Every template and tool is available without giving any information.
  • No AI features. The site does not call any AI model and has no chatbot or generated answers. Every result comes from published content and deterministic, documented rules.
  • Every legal or regulatory statement links to a primary source and carries a "checked" date.
  • Official sources come first. We point to official helpdesks rather than compete with them.
  • Content is written originally. We do not copy text, question sets or templates from other sites, and we do not reproduce ISO, NIST or OECD text.

How we show uncertainty

If anything is not fully certain, the site says so next to the thing that is uncertain. Four levels:

  • Confirmed: checked against the primary source, no known open questions.
  • Simplified: accurate, but the short summary leaves out details, thresholds or exceptions.
  • Not settled: the position may change or is disputed, such as pending litigation, rules not final or dates subject to change.
  • Unverified: not yet checked. These never appear on a published page.

Anything last checked more than 90 days ago shows "May be out of date", computed in your browser even if you are looking at an old cached copy.

How content is researched, reviewed and dated

Every legal or regulatory record carries a source, a checked date, a certainty level and a review-due date. A build check stops the site from shipping with unknown sources, missing warnings or stale review dates. Content moves through Draft, Fact-checked, Legal review, Approved and Published. Status at this release: content is marked Draft until each item has been fact-checked against its primary source and reviewed by qualified counsel for the relevant region. Items marked "Verify" have not yet been independently checked.

Review cadence: EU and US monthly while major changes are under way, UK and India every two months, global standards quarterly, and immediately on any known change.

Trademarks

Trademarks of NIST, ISO, OECD, the EU and others belong to their owners and are named only to identify the documents we link to.
